Lovecraftian Movies

A lot of people connect Lovecraft with Cthulhu and Deep Ones. But really that was only a small portion of his work. I think Stories revolving around Yogsothoth and the otherworldliness of that kind of fear interested him more. He was the Gate, and the Key to the Gate. I can't remember where, but I believe Lovecraft himself referred to the body of his work as Yogsothothary, not the Cthulhu Mythos. So when a movie like Starfish comes along, I think it really hits all the beats I'm looking for in cosmic dread of a Lovecraftian movie. The problem is, I don't think enough people saw it. Which is tragic. There are a number of obscure films that, if I had the power, I'd force people to watch. And I think Starfish is near the top of that list. So if you're actually reading this. Do yourself a favor. Watch the movie. It's beautiful, and emotional in it's cosmic wonder.
